CHAPTER 11
OUR LIVES ARE GOVERNED BY LAWS (e²)

"Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away" (Matthew 24:35).

There are three types of laws that influence the affairs of men in the earth:  man-made laws, physical laws, and spiritual laws.
YOU MAY VIOLATE A MANMADE LAW AND NOT GET CAUGHT
If you violate a man-made law such as a speed limit or a stop sign, you may not get caught, at least not every time you speed or fail to stop at a stop sign.

BUT YOU CANNOT ESCAPE A PHYSICAL LAW
If you violate a physical law, however, such as the "law of gravity," you will get caught every single time, because the law of gravity is in effect everywhere in the earth, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, three hundred and sixty-five days a year. If you throw an object off the roof of a ten-story building in Tokyo, Japan, it will fall to the sidewalk below with the same force it would if you threw it off a ten-story building in Moscow, Russia. It doesn't matter if you know about the law of gravity or whether anybody ever told you about the law of gravity when you were growing up. The law is neutral; it affects every human being, Christian and non-Christian, because they both have physical bodies and live in the physical realm.

NEITHER CAN YOU ESCAPE A SPIRITUAL LAW
The spiritual order of the universe which is established on spiritual laws is just as true as the natural order which is established on natural laws. You have learned to trust God's law of gravity without even questioning it, but you must learn to trust God's spiritual laws in the same way.

Spiritual laws, such as the law of faith, are also in effect one hundred percent of the time even though their operation cannot be observed in the physical realm. If you violate the law of faith you will get caught every single time, because the law of faith is in effect everywhere on the earth, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, three hundred and sixty-five days a year. It doesn't matter if you know about the law of faith or whether anybody ever told you about the law of faith when you were growing up. The law is neutral; it works for every human, Christian or non-Christian, because both are spirit beings and subject to spiritual law. Christians, of course, should have more understanding of spiritual laws because they have been introduced to the Manufacturer's Handbook, but sadly most Christians spend little time studying the handbook.

IGNORANCE OF THE LAW IS NOT A DEFENSE!
If you fail to stop at a red light and your car is hit broadside by another car, you wouldn't go to the director of streets in your city and tell him you didn't know that you had to stop at a red light would you? And you wouldn't demand that the city repair your car because you didn't know about the law concerning stoplights would you? You wouldn't make that type of demand because the government has made it your responsibility to know the traffic laws before you are authorized to drive on a public street.

IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO KNOW GOD'S LAW
But many times Christians fail to spend time studying the Creator's Handbook, and are therefore ignorant of God's spiritual laws. Then when they violate one of His laws and problems develop in their lives they say, "Oh God why are you letting this happen to me..." The truth is that God has sent His Son Jesus to redeem you from the "curse of the law" (poverty, sickness, and spiritual death) so that you might receive the "blessings of Abraham" (prosperity, health and eternal life) by faith (Galatians 3:13&14).  And He has given you His Word to enlighten you and to produce in you the faith required to receive those blessings (Romans 10:8).  He has given you his Spirit to teach you all things (John 14:26). It's not up to God to do something about your problem; it's up to you to do something about your problem. God has made the blessings of Abraham (wealth, health and eternal life) available to every Christian, but these blessings are received by understanding and exercising His spiritual laws.
"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers" (3 John 2).
The Creator's Handbook tells us that God wants His people to prosper in all things, and He wants them to be physically healthy. But notice that He qualifies prosperity and health with the words "even as your soul prospers." From the above scripture it is apparent that the qualification for receiving God's blessing is the prosperity of the soul (the mind, the will and the emotions). Therefore if you are more interested in becoming rich than in serving God, you are reading the wrong book, because the purpose of this book is to teach you to apply God's Word so that you may prosper by cooperating with the Spirit of God. In order to obtain prosperity by the Spirit of God. you must esteem spiritual things more highly than earthly things. God gives us the power to get wealth in order that he may establish and confirm the Covenant that He made with His friend Abraham (Deuteronomy 8:17-18). God wants your needs to be met, and He wants you to have the desires of your heart; but after your needs are met and the desires of your heart fulfilled, He desires that you use your abundance to help those in need, and to take the Good News of Jesus Christ to all the nations of the earth.
